Carbon

Cycle

Carbon cycles between the Earth and the atmosphere. Earth is a closed system, so the amount of carbon doesn’t change. Carbon resides in the atmosphere, in rocks and sediments, the ocean, and living organisms (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) U.S. Department of Commerce, n.d.)

Global warming is when the sun’s heat is trapped in the atmosphere. Global warming comes from human activities concentrating too much carbon into the atmosphere. For example: burning coal, cutting down trees, etc. (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) U.S. Department of Commerce, n.d.)
